The train line between Romford and Upminster is currently suspended after a broken down train blocked the track.
National Rail estimated that disruption would continue until around 11am. No services are calling at Emerson Park.
Tickets are valid on c2c services to London Fenchurch Street, Underground trains on “reasonable routes” and buses.
A spokesman for operator Greater Anglia apologised for the disruption.
Metro services between Liverpool Street and Shenfield through Romford, Gidea Park and Harold Wood are running as normal.
