Virgin Holidays employees Viv O’Gorman, Dan Prior, Jo Orwell and Lindsay Herold will remember Margaret Bernard by walking from the London Eye to Saint Francis Hospice’s base in Havering-atte-Bower on October 13.

All money raised will go to the hospice.

Sales consultant Viv, 47, from Hornchurch, said: “Margaret and her husband Ray were the loveliest people you could meet.

“She was so brave when receiving treatment at the hospice. My work colleagues and I visited Margaret a number of times and we’ve never been so moved as we were by seeing the care she was receiving.

“The nurses were all so lovely and we determined that we had to do something to remember Margaret and help the hospice that helped her so much.”

The walk, which will coincide with Hospice Care Week, will also be completed by Viv’s daughter Jade and Dan’s girlfriend Vicky.

Linda Borg from the hospice said: “I wish Viv and her colleagues all the best and I’m sure they will beat their target of £1,500.”

The group have already raised more than £900.
