Members of Risebridge Golf Club, Risebridge Chase, welcomed the deputy Mayor of Havering, Cllr Linda Trew, to the course to mark occasion on September 29.
Organiser and member Harry Deadman, 68, has been ever-present at the course since it opened in 1972 and said it has completely changed over the years.
Mr Deadman added: “The course used to be a farm when the council bought it now it is one of the best courses in the country according to others. We have transformed it.
“The day went really well. We had a hundred people there plus non-club members and the deputy mayor spoke to everyone.”
