There will be delays and cancellations on Greater Anglia and TfL Rail services all day due to a track fault near Ilford.

A set of points is out of use between Manor Park and Ilford, meaning trains will have to run on reduced speed on some lines.

Greater Anglia has said: “Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

“Disruption is expected until the end of the day.”

TfL Rail initially tweeted that services would not be affected this morning, however since then several trains have been cancelled between Liverpool Street and Shenfiel.

Passengers have also been advised to avoid travelling in evening rush hour where possible as there will be further disruption.

Network Rail engineers are on site, however due to the nature of the fault it could take longer than anticipated to repair.

This is the second day in a row there has been disruption on the line, with delays and cancellations across London due to summer engineering work.

Greater Anglia has a full timetable of delayed and cancelled trains, which can be found here.

You can apply for its delay compensation by clicking here.
