The wait is almost over as the opening day for TGI Friday’s in Romford has been revealed.

The popular American restaurant chain will be opening its first branch in the borough at The Brewery shopping centre on Monday, July 16, at one of the 6,000sq ft units along the walkway where shops including Homesense, TK Maxx and Metro Bank are based.

Work on the site - which was previously occupied by Thomas Cook - has been taking place since last year, transforming the empty unit into the much-loved restaurant.

But TGI Friday’s is not the only new place set to treat Romford shoppers with delicious food as MOD Pizza will be having its grand opening tomorrow, Tuesday, July 12.
