Storm-felled trees have been reported across Havering with some blocking roads and footpaths.
Residents across the borough have been sending us pictures of the damage caused by the overnight gales - which reached gusts of up to 40mph.
Trees are down in Rush Green Road, Romford, Hilldene Avenue, Harold Hill, Kingsbridge Road, Harold Hill and Billet Lane, Hornchurch. There are also reports of damage to fences, roofs and gardens.
The weather remains blowy this morning and the Met Office is maintaining its “amber warning” for wind, meaning a “high impact” is moderately likely.
A statement on the Met Office website reads: “The public should be prepared for the risk of falling trees as well as damage to buildings and other structures, bringing disruption to transport and power supplies.
“The public should also consider adjusting travel plans.”
