»Seven stolen vehicles and £6,000 cash were seized from an address in Rainham as part of the Met’s war on crime.

The operation, called Stimtone Two, also recovered a stolen speedboat, four vehicles and uncovered two cannabis factories in South Hornchurch.

Nine people were also arrested for offences including benefit fraud, money laundering and cultivation of cannabis.

‘Result’

Det Sgt Jo Van Der Waag, of Romford CID, said: “This is a great result for the borough.

“Operation Stimtone Two is about taking the profit out of crime and letting criminals know that police will pursue them to recover assets they have gained from criminal activity.

“I feel that we have achieved this goal”.

Officers also visited pawnbrokers across Havering.

In the operation 1,300 officers from the Met targeted organised criminal networks in London.
