Shoppers at Gallows Corner supermarket donate 200 trays of food to Harold Hill Foodbank

Shoppers donated more than 200 trays of food to support struggling families.
Customers at Tesco in Gallows Corner dug deep in aid of the Harold Hill Foodbank on the weekend.
Clover Deacon, community champion at the store said: “It was a huge success and once again as community champion it gives me great pride to say how generous our customers and staff were in their donations of food to the this great charity.”
Customers were given a shopping list as they came into the store and asked to donate items to the food collection.
Mark Reeves, from the Harold Hill Foodbank was also in the store to support the appeal.
Clover said: “Some customers donated bagfuls of shopping such amazing community spirit to help those in need.”
