Walkers can enjoy a sponsored stroll in the countryside next month.
The Rotary Club of Hornchurch and Upminster is inviting people to join them on their 19th annual walk in aid of St Francis Hospice.
The six-mile walk, on September 1, will start at the Thames Chase Forest Centre, Broadfields, Pike Lane, Cranham, between 9am and 10am.
It is suitable for all ages, though children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
The route will take in North Okendon Church crossing the M25 back into Broadfield. Over Pike Lane, before going to the Cranham Marsh area and Broadfileds via Cranham Parish Church.
Brian Taffs, from the Rotary Club, said: “We are pleased to continue our support for such an important local charity as St Francis Hospice and hope to welcome plenty of walkers to this event.
“This year we have made the route shorter to encourage family groups to join us in raising funds for the hospice.”
Last year the walk raised £8,180 for services the hospice provides.
