Romford’s scouts will be easy to spot at the Havering Show this weekend – just look out for the 40-foot trailer.
The scouts’ mobile display unit, branded with pictures of children scouting and chief scout Bear Grylls, will make a special appearance at the stall in Harrow Lodge Park, Hornchurch, on Sunday and Monday.
During the show, scout leaders will be talking to prospective leaders and any youngsters interested in joining the borough’s 3,000 scouts.
The trailer also has a 40-foot sideways climbing wall and other displays.
Romford’s explorer scout commissioner Andy Mann said: “We are very excited about the mobile display unit coming to the Havering show. It’s our chance to show off to local residents what scouting is all about and what you can achieve by becoming a leader or helper.
“We will also be giving out information on how your son or daughter can join, we can cater from aged 6 to 18.”
Head down to the show between 11am and 6pm on Sunday or Monday to see the trailer, which will be behind the Giggly Pig stand and next to the Planet Havering marquee.
