A darts team has raised more than £1,000 for a hospice by holding a 12 hour marathon.

The LT Hornchurch club smashed their target of 100,000 points when they reached 181,000 throughout the event.

Members of the team were fundraising throughout the day for Isobel House Hospice in Hertfordshire, in memory of Lorraine Moore, the mother of team members Steve and Daniel Moore, who passed away last August.

Several other members of Lorraine’s family took part in the day, including her mother, two sisters and aunt.

Steve said: “We were there every day for six weeks, the care there was blinding, the place itself was really nice and the staff were great.

“We’re leaving the Just Giving page open as long as we can to make money for it and we’re aiming to turn it into an annual event.”
