Romford MP Andrew Rosindell has opened a new learning centre at a Hornchurch school.
The Albany School, in Broadstone Road, has installed two new interactive projector walls and a green screen, the type used for animated films and photographs.
Students have been filming against the blank green screen and then adding different backgrounds to give the impression they are flying the magic carpet or standing on the wing of a jumbo jet.
Mr Rosindell said: “I’m always happy to support local schools and had so much fun with the green screen and other forms of technology; I can’t wait to see some of the backgrounds.”
Hornchurch Cllr Garry Pain, who was also at the opening, said: “I’m a TV cameraman by profession and was impressed with the level of knowledge and enthusiasm the students demonstrated.”
