Romford man handed month-long prison sentence for stealing from Asda

A 36-year-old man has been sentenced to a month in prison for stealing nearly £250 of goods from an Asda.

Ionut Barbascu, of Barnstaple Road, Romford, pleaded guilty at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on April 22 for the theft of various goods from the Dolphin Approach, Romford, store.

The thefts took place just one day before he was sentenced to prison.

His guilty plea was taken into account in the sentencing.
