Romford’s Ladies’ Guild is looking for new members to come along to its outings and events this autumn.
The guild has set up four new meetings in the next few months, starting on September 26, where they will have a talk on Japan.
There is a talk on weddings through the ages on October 24, followed by their annual group meal on November 28.
A coach tour of the London lights is taking place on December 5, ending with a fish and chip supper.
New members are welcome at the Salvation Army Citadel, in Romford High Street. Meetings start at 8pm.
An accomplice to a gang of cold-calling builders who took an 87-year-old Upminster man for £64,000 has been jailed for 18 months for money laundering.
