Teenagers from Romford, Rainham and Dagenham arrested after Lakeside robbery

Police were called to Lakeside last night.

Teenagers from Romford, Rainham and Dagenham have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Lakeside shopping centre last night.

Police received a call at around 7.55 last night (Wednesday, October 24) from a boy who said that a group of people had approached him and his friends and threatened them with a knife.

Essex Police later arrested three people near to Chafford Hundred train station at around 8.20pm and seized an imitation firearm and a knife.

An 18-year-old man from Romford and a 17-year-old boy from Dagenham were arrested on suspicion of robbery, possession of firearms offences and possession of a knife.

A 15-year-old boy from Rainham was also arrested on suspicion of robbery.

They all remain in custody for questioning.
