A three-year-old dancer is thrilled to have one the top prizes at a dance festival.

Gracie Rose Newmarch, who goes to the Aspire School of Dance, Romford, performed in a modern dance solo, tap solo, as well as modern and street dance within a group at the Rising Star Festival which was held at St Martin’s School, Brentwood.

She was then given a trophy for receiving the highest mark in her tap solo and another trophy for being the most promising baby dancer.

Her mum Vikki Blackholly said: “She was a little nervous at first but was really excited to get her costume, hair and make up done.

“Gracie had so much fun and loves dancing, she was so excited to be dancing on her own as well as with her team mates.

“I loved watching her dance and all of her family who watched are really proud of her.

“She now keeps asking when the next one is!”
