A collision between two cars closed a Rainham road for 30 minutes yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to the incident at 16.21pm, which occurred on Upminster Road South, near the war memorial clock tower.
The accident involved a silver Ford KA2 car and a black Vauxhall Astra.
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said one crew attended and checked over two women at the scene, but they were not taken to hospital.
The Hornchurch fire and rescue service also attended, as did appliances from the London Fire Brigade’s Wennington and Dagenham units.
The road reopened at 16.53pm.
A 41-year-old man has been stabbed at an address in Harold Hill.
