Pregnant woman hit by moped outside Romford primary school

A heavily pregnant woman was taken to hospital with arm and back injuries on Thursday after colliding with a moped outside a Romford school.
The 26-year-old was crossing at the pedestrian crossing outside Crowlands Primary School, London Road, at midday when the incident occurred.
The traffic lights were red at the time.
The London Ambulance Service sent a single responder in a car and one crew to treat the patient, who was taken to Queen’s Hospital as a precaution.
A police spokesman said the moped rider, 19, who was on a grey Gilera 125, is being processed for reckless driving.
