Police officer working in Romford dismissed over child porn charges

A police officer working in Romford has been immediately dismissed from the Met after child pornography and other extreme images were discovered in his possession.

PC Lucas Beach based at East Area Command unit in Romford answered an allegation that his conduct amounted to a breach of the Met’s Standards of professional behaviour in respect of discreditable conduc’.

PC Lucas had on June 29 at Basildon Crown Court pleaded guilty to making indecent photographs of children, possessing prohibited images of children and possessing extreme pornographic films following an investigation by Essex Police.

On July 27 he was sentenced to a rehabilitation activity requirement, participation in an internet sex offenders programme and handed a Sexual Offences Prevention Order for five years.

The chair found the allegation proven and the officer was dismissed without notice on Friday, December 1.
