A family-run nursery in Upminster is celebrating winning an award that recognises them as being in the top 20 nurseries in the capital and their third birthday.

Little Adventurers Nursery in Severn Drive was delighted to win a Top 20 Nursery Award for the London area, as voted by parents.

“Our key ethos is that childhood should be fun, it should be like an exciting adventure,” said nursery manager, Ginny Andreas.

“I honestly believe that everything is a learning opportunity and we work to follow children’s interests as this helps them to become motivated learners.”

Little Adventurers works alongside an Early Years Nutritionist to ensure menus offer optimum nutrition.

They serve meat from the local butchers, fish from billingsgate market and only wholemeal varieties of bread and pasta.

Chris Ford, business development manager said: “As a relatively new nursery, we are striving hard across all areas and most importantly we are immensely proud of our caring staff team of high calibre nursery practitioners.

“At Little Adventurers, we create a home from home for our little ones and build loving and supportive relationships where children are cherished as they grow and learn.”

The Upminster nursery is also one of the first nurseries to achieve their Bronze Healthy Early Years London Award and they have been featured for best practice by Early Excellence and the national publication, Nursery World.
