A couple broke into a sports centre locker taking clothing and car keys before trying to steal a vehicle, police believe.

After they took a bag from the locker, police believe the pair used the keys to locate the victim’s car but made away empty handed after they were challenged.

Police are trying to trace a man and woman in connection with the attempted theft at Hornchurch Sports Centre, in Harrow Lodge Park, Hornchurch, between 6.15pm and 7.15pm on April 29.
