Olympic star Anna Hemmings gives inspirational talk at Hornchurch school

Pupils welcomed a special guest to their school on Wednesday in the form of Olympian canoeist Anna Hemmings MBE.
Organised by national charity 21st Century Legacy, the sports star visited Sanders School, Suttons Lane, Hornchurch to give an inspirational talk to youngsters and to launch the “be the best you can be” programme.
The project aims to develop children’s strength and capabilities.
Head of Year 9 Joanne Foley said: “We hope to inspire, engage and empower our young people to fulfil their dreams and ambitions.
“Our aim is that it will enable our students to develop awareness, responsibility and resilience in pursuing their goals.”
