Harmony House, in Hornchurch Road, held an open day to mark its launch, welcoming in new and prospective families.

The nursery is the second the company has opened; the first is in Dagenham, by the same name.

The opening on Friday included a key handover ceremony from the owners of the building Rodwell House to the nursery owners. The building has belonged to the Rodwell family since 1920.

Centre manager Izuka Soligbo said: “It was a good turnout for the open day and parents were able to have a good look around. We now have 25 children on our books.”
