Plans to build a new hangar at Damyns Hall Aerodrome were approved by Havering Council last week.
The planning committee passed the proposals on Thursday night. The Aveley Road, Upminster, site also has permission to create an outside parking area for aircraft.
To make space for the new development, a large building on the proposed site, a barn, two “tee hangars” and a number of containers and sheds will be demolished.
