Two masked intruders threatened a 75-year-old man at his home and stole cash and watches worth thousands of pounds.

The two men got into a house in Firsgrove Crescent, Warley, at around 5.40am on May 25, through an insecure back door.

They then threatened their victim before stealing two watches, one of which was a Rolex, and money.

Det Con Patrick Snape of Brentwood CID said: “The victim disturbed the intruders who were inside his home. They threatened him before making off with the watches and the money. The man was not injured but was left shaken up after the incident.”

The men were described as both white, aged 20-30 years old and both wearing balaclavas.

Both were wearing navy blue tops, black trousers and trainers.

Anyone with information should call Det Con Patrick Snape on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
