A 24-year-old man has died after being struck by a train at Romford station on Saturday morning (August 30).

London Ambulance Services were called at 10.47am on Saturday and sent London’s Air Ambulance, an ambulance crew, and a single responder in a car to Romford station.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident caused delays of up to 90 minutes between Shenfield, Upminster, and London Liverpool Street.

His family have since been informed of the incident.
