Cyclist in critical condition after Hornchurch crash

A cyclist was treated at the scene and was taken to hospital via air ambulance.

A cyclist was taken to hospital in an air ambulance after a crash in Hornchurch this morning.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) were called at around 8.24 this morning (Thursday, September 27) to Osborne Road at the junction of Boscombe Avenue to reports of a road traffic collision.

LAS sent an incident response officer, a single responder in a car and an ambulance crew to the scene.

London’s Air Ambulance was also sent to the scene and it landed at Towers School.

A man was treated at the scene and was taken to hospital.

Police were called by the LAS and officers attended the scene.

A Met spokesman said that the cyclist was taken to an east London hospital where they remain in a critical condition.

Enquiries continue.
