A man in his 40s was taken to hospital after being trapped in his car following a crash in Hornchurch this morning.

London Ambulance were called just before 9am to a two-car collision in Butts Green Road.

Two fire engines, one from Romford and one from Harold Hill were also called to the scene, as well as a fire rescue unit.

The trapped man was cut out of his car before being taken to Queen’s Hospital in Rom Valley Way, Romford.
