A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a Harold Wood car crash in which one person was hospitalised.

Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to reports of a crash between two vehicles on the junction of Squirrels Heath Road and Rosslyn Avenue yesterday, June 14, at around 8.10pm.

Two fire engines and 10 firefighters from Hornchurch fire service attended to make the scene safe.

Police arrested a driver at the scene.

A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 8.14pm yesterday to Squirrel’s Heath Road at the junction of Rosslyn Avenue, Harold Wood to reports of a road traffic collision.

“We sent an ambulance crew to the scene.

“We treated one person and took them to hospital.”
