Youngsters at Myplace in Harold Hill were treated to a visit from some very special police workers last month.
PC Craig Goodey of the Met’s mounted branch brought two horses to show the SPOT club – and gave a talk about the role the branch plays in policing the capital.
PCSO Megan Thomas of Gooshays Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: “This was a lovely visit. Everyone enjoyed the horses and learned something from the experience.”
The club, based at the centre in Dagnam Park Drive, runs activities for young people with additional support needs on Saturdays between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
