It was tea and cakes all round as members of a care home celebrated a milestone at an anniversary party last week.

Residents and staff of Lilliputs Day Centre, Wingletye Lane, Hornchurch, gathered together to mark parent company Care Management Group (CMG) 20th anniversary.

The organisation provides care facilities for disabled people and has grown from two residential services in 1996 to more than 120 homes across England and Wales.

Entertainment included a live band on stilts, a mini zoo, circus acts, games, face painting and a disco with an impressive performance from The Brelade Players, a sketch comedy group formed by people who are cared for by CMG.

Lead support worker, Gareth Ramjean said: “The day has been fantastic, it has catered for everyone’s needs, across all the different complex disabilities CMG service users have.

“There have been lots of activities that they wouldn’t have had the opportunity to experience otherwise, all the entertainment has been amazing.”
