Christmas just got a whole lot better – thanks to a Havering bakery chain.

Godfrey’s Bakeries, based in Hornchurch but with stores across the borough, has made a special Christmas dinner doughnut for the festive season.

It’s described as “the best bits of Christmas dinner”, and is made from sage-infused dough, dusted with turkey salt and a roasted potato crumb, then finished with cured maple candied bacon and a cranberry drizzle glaze.

Inside there is a “festive surprise”: a thick gravy centre.

Oh God, the gravy centre.... Oh God, the gravy centre....

If you fancy trying it for yourself, visit the chain’s flagship Ardleigh Green Road store while stocks last.
