Retail manager Zara Wall believes she dropped the uniquely designed diamond ring in the first floor car park of Romford’s Liberty Shopping Centre on Valentine’s Day.

She explained: “We were travelling to Romford for a meeting in one of my colleagues’ cars and I was putting hand cream on.

“The only thing I can think of is that it must have slipped off my hand when I got out of the car.”

She then walked downstairs to the exit near the Disney Store and on towards Debenhams.

Zara, from Chelmsford, has been engaged to James Ashley for five years, and says that the sentimental value of the ring means that she can’t bear to replace it.

“It has a square diamond and lots of other little diamonds on it, it’s quite spectacular,” she said.

“I was stunned when I first saw it, my fiancé had it made especially for me.”

Having spent hours looking in her colleagues car, she was upset to find out that the car park is thoroughly swept every day.

The 35-year-old added: “Both of us have had difficult times in the past and with our health and it was such a nice thing to happen. I really hope someone can find it.”
