Lottie is a Teacup Chihuahua, a miniature breed of the popular dog, who went missing on Friday.

Karen Johnson and her two daughters, Abigail, 16 and Bethany, 14, have been desperately seeking her ever since.

“My girls have been crying themselves to sleep it at night, it’s been awful” said Karen, of Woodlands Avenue, Harold Wood “She’s a very vulnerable dog, she needs medication for Hypoglycaemia and is extremely timid around strangers, she’s particularly afraid of men. She doesn’t go off exploring normally and it’s not like her to go missing at all.”

Karen, who runs the Honey Pot Corner day nursery on Squirrels Heath road, bought the pint-sized pooch as a 13th birthday present for her daughter Abigail three years ago and she has become very much a member of the family ever since.
