The Havering East Rotary Club helped to raise more than £8,200 for charity after taking its sleigh on a trip through Upminster and Cranham.
Members of the club joined Santa and his sleigh on a journey through the borough in the run up to the festive season.
Some of the funds were also raised from collections outside a number of supermarkets in Havering.
The money is set to be donated to First Step, St Francis Hospice and Ravensbourne and Dycorts School.
Phil Edwards, from the club said: “Havering East Rotary Club would like to thank the many kind and generous people who gave to our collections this Christmas.”
A man was robbed of his phone, money and ordered to leave a train at Upminster station in a “terrifying ordeal”, transport police said.
