Havering community projects to benefit from £2.72 million

Havering community projects are set to benefit from £2.72 million thanks to Veolia.

The Veolia North Thames Trust has received the funds from landfill operators Veolia Environmental Services Limited to support community and environmental projects over the next 12 months.

In April this year, Veolia Havering Riverside Trust merged with Mardyke and Pitsea Marshes Trust to create Veolia North Thames Trust (VNTT).

Doug Benjafield, Chair of VNTT, said, “ We are most grateful to the company for their generous contributions particularly during these difficult economic times when the Trust’s work has become increasingly important to ensuring that many local initiatives come to fruition and make a positive contribution to the communities, environment and heritage of the north Thames area”.
