Havering 90 Joggers have paid tribute to their secretary Dave Keeley, who was singled out for a special award by the Mayor of Havering earlier this month.
Dave was handed a “Silver Sunday” award for going beyond the call of duty for the benefit of others.
He was nominated for his work setting up the weekly park run at Harrow Lodge Park, Hornchurch.
“He is a credit to himself and Havering 90 Joggers for all the free time he gives up to help others,” said the group’s Jeff Fenton.
“He was nominated for his time and effort in getting this off the ground, setting up the course early every Saturday morning, organising the marshals, and putting Havering on the map with a popular run that sees on average 70 participants every Saturday morning.”
