Sainsbury’s supermarket in Hornchurch has revealed that its charity of the year for 2013/14 will be Havering Mind.

The mental health charity is set to receive a year’s worth of fundraising and awareness support.

Last year more than £8,000 was raised for the Upminster and Hornchurch Sea Cadets through the scheme.

A spokesman for the cadets said: “Working with Sainsbury’s Hornchurch over the last 12 months has made such a difference to our cause. We’ve raised a fantastic amount for which we are very grateful.”
