Students and staff past and present joined together in celebration of a college’s milestone.

Havering College hosted a community fun day at its Ardleigh Green campus yesterday afternoon, to mark its 70th birthday.

The event, in Ardleigh Green Road, featured live music, fairground activities and inflatable games.

All proceeds will go towards mayor Councillor Linda Van den Hende’s chosen charities for her year in office. They include First Step, which supports the families of young children with special needs and disabilities.
