A Hornchurch hair salon has been nominated for five regional awards.

Gfc hairdressing has a salon in Butts Green Road and the team are celebrating after being nominated for a record five categories at the annual Essex Salon Awards 2018, which are designed to highlight the success of the most creative, dynamic and innovative salons and hairdressers in the county.

The team has been shortlisted for: Best salon team, marketing trailblazer, best salon for bridal hair, most sustainable salon and creative image of the year for the second year in a row.

Now in their second year, the awards shine a spotlight on the hundreds of hairdressers who inspire and lead the way in hairdressing and the salons who deliver excellence in the county. Judged by a panel of industry leaders, the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Orsett Hall Hotel in November.

These five nominations surpass the four nods the salon achieved at the same ceremony last year and mark the gfc hairdressing team’s sixth finalist position in the past two months, after Paul Falltrick was shortlisted at the British Hairdressing Awards in the Eastern Hairdresser of the Year category. Paul is delighted with the news and said: “Wow! After achieving four nominations last year we are thrilled to have been named finalists in five categories in 2018.

“I think it’s brilliant to have an awards ceremony that specifically recognises the incredible hairdressing talent in Essex.

“We were incredibly proud to take home the creative image of the year award last year and we’d love to celebrate success again, therefore the team and all of our loyal clients will be keeping fingers, toes and everything crossed.”
