Emergency services remain at the scene, after a lorry collided with several cars on the A13 this morning.

Police, London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade were all called at around 9.10am to the incident near Ferry Lane, Rainham, which caused Thames Gateway to close eastbound between Ferry Lane and Wennington.

Queues of traffic are now reaching beyond the Goresbrook Interchange to Renwick Road, Barking.

Five people have been treated for minor injuries which are not deemed to be life-threatening.

There was another collision this morning on the Dartford River Crossing of the M25.

The crash involved two cars.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and a person has been taken to hospital.

The bridge is expected to remain closed until at least midday. A diversion is in place through the east tunnel.
