Year 9 pupils at The Albany School in Hornchurch were treated to a tour of Oxford University’s Wadham College last week as part of a gifted and talented programme.
Fifteen students also saw a demonstration at the Museum of the History of Science and sat in on a lecture on crystals.
“Getting taster days at Oxford University is very competitive and Albany were thrilled to be selected for this opportunity,” said gifted and talented lead teacher Lisa Wilson.
“The pupils found the day inspiring and are now focusing on aiming high in their future education.”
