‘Gardener’ steals money from elderly Warley man’s wallet in ruse

A man in his 80s had cash stolen from his home by a distraction burglar and police are appealing for witnesses of the incident.

A man tricked his way into a property in Crescent Road, Warley, on March 25, at about 9am, with a ruse about doing some gardening work.

The man managed to remove a small amount of cash from the victim’s wallet and left.

Police say the suspect is described as white, in his 30s, of medium build, and was wearing all black clothing during the incident.
