A five-car collision on the A13 in Rainham is causing lengthy delays on the eastbound carriageway while emergency services respond to the incident.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed officers were called to a stretch of the A13 between Marsh Way and Ferry Lane at 10.32am this morning (Monday, September 24).

Five cars had collided during the incident, but there are no reports of any serious injuries.

Traffic is still slow moving eastbound.
