Four engines and 25 firefighters have been called to the scene in Rainham.

Firefighters and emergency services have been called to a house fire in Rainham.

London Fire Brigade were called to a fire at a property in South Street at around 3.30 this afternoon (Friday, August 10).

Part of the dormer window of one semi-detached house is alight and a garage attached to the adjoining house is also alight.

Twenty-five firefighters and four engines are currently dealing with the blaze.

The Brigade’s 999 control officers have taken 16 calls to the fire - and crews from Dagenham, Barking, East Ham and Ilford fire stations are at the scene.

The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
