Bring up bugs, cookies and daemons in a chat and you’ll likely leave your friends scratching their heads.
But these are just some of the fantastic phrases whizzing around the mind of tech buff Viktor Linde.
The 19-year-old computing student at Barking and Dagenham College just flew back from Asia with the second place trophy in an international computer challenge.
Viktor, who lives in Romford, was one of six students from across Western Europe to join 94 global finalists at the Huawei ICT Skills Competition in Shenzhen, southeastern China.
He built his own PC from scratch in just eight hours to scoop the prize — and a semester’s full scholarship at a Chinese university.
“The standard of competition was very high,” said Viktor. “We were competing against top teams from places like China, Pakistan, and Russia.”
It is a sweet Viktor-y indeed.
