Detectives hunt man in connection with theft of £12,000 of jewellery from Brentwood home

A large sum of gold jewellery was stolen from a house in Brentwood and detectives are seeking to identify a man in connection with the burglary.

On January 23, £12,000 of jewellery was stolen from a house on Costead Manor Road in broad-daylight after three men forced open the front door.

Police believe the incident took place between 3.00pm and 4.30pm from a house near the Costead Manor Road’s junction with The Retreat.

The investigating officer, Det Con Jo Barnes, said: “We want to hear from anyone who recalls seeing these three men break into this house during the mid-afternoon of Thursday, January 23.

“They drove off in a grey estate car, possibly an Audi. We also want to hear from anyone who recognises the man from the e-fit and the description provided.”

The man in the e-fit is described as in his early 20s, white, of slim build and has short brown hair.

He is approximately 5ft 8ins tall and was wearing a dark coloured tracksuit top, blue jeans and trainers.
