Delays into Romford after accident on the A12

There are traffic delays into Romford following an accident earlier this morning.

Police were called at 6.45am today after a moped collided with a car on the westbound lane of the A12 near the junction with North Street, Romford.

An ambulance crew rushed the motorcyclist to hospital and reports of his condition are expected soon.

The westbound lane of the A12 remains closed between North Street and Pettits Lane in Romford.

Enquiries continue.
