A young cyclist was taken to hospital with head and chest injuries after a crash on Sunday morning in Romford.
The woman, believed to be 19, was involved in a collision with a car in Pettits Lane at about 10.25am. Paramedics were on the scene within four minutes and two ambulance crews treated the woman for her injuries, which were not thought to be life-threatening.
She was stabilised and taken to the major trauma centre at the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel.
The driver of the Honda Jazz stopped at the scene and was not arrested.
No one else was injured in the crash.
