An “extremely dangerous” thug, jailed for his part in an unprovoked attack that left a student dead, is wanted by police, just six months after being released from prison.

Officers have warned the public not to approach scar-faced Timmy Sullivan, 25, who is being sought after breaching his release conditions.

He struck the first jaw- shattering blow in the attack on students Daniel Pollen and Andrew Griffiths in Romford.

Daniel, 20, died after being stabbed in the heart by Sullivan’s then-teenage accomplice Michael Lynch, in the Brewery Shopping Centre car park on July 8, 2005.

Andrew, also 20, was knifed twice by Lynch in the frenzied 70-second attack. He also suffered a smashed jaw from Sullivan’s punch, but survived.

The friends were waiting for a lift home from Daniel’s sister Kirsty after a night out celebrating Andrew’s birthday when they were set upon by Sullivan, Lynch and a third man, Michael Onokah.

The full horror of the attack was captured on CCTV. It appalled the nation when police released the footage, with permission of the family, as part of an anti-knife campaign.

Lynch was jailed for murder in 2006 and ordered to serve a minimum of 15 years.

Sullivan, from Barking, and Onokah, of Ilford, were convicted of wounding Daniel with intent and causing grievous bodily harm to Andrew.

The pair, cleared of murder. both received indeterminate sentences and told they would have to serve at least five years before being considered for parole.

Sullivan was released in July and has been wanted since last month. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “He is described as extremely dangerous.”

The prison service declined to reveal his licence conditions or how they had been breached.

Sullivan, who has now been recalled to prison, has connections to east London.

Anyone with information should contact police on 020 8217 4383 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111. In case of immediate sightings, call 999.
